Bridge Jeffersonianum
Created with Rhino7, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AutCAD, and Enscape

The Dundas Valley Conservation Area is the natural habitat to various wildlife and
vegetation. This ten-meter pedestrian bridge design is inspired by its surroundings, primarily the Jefferson Salamanders, Ambystoma jeffersonianum, which are native to Central and Southern Ontario. Its design not only mimics the shape of the
little amphibian, but it also blends into its surroundings by reflecting nature back to any inattentive by passers through the use of polished aluminum panels. The
weathered steel panels lining the interior of the bridge ‘rib cage’ allows for the
user to have two different experiences when approaching and walking across the
bridge.
