Origami Library

Located in West Don Lands, Ontario, this library offers a place of gathering and learning to the occupants of the neighboring apartment buildings. The geometric brick-tile façade is inspired by the historical development of the area; from the adjacent industrial buildings from the 1800s to the modern condominium units of the present day. The folded building envelope acts as a statement in this urban environment, enticing people to come out of their condo units and come together
as a community.
